INFORMATION REGARDING THE AIR TRANSPORT ENGINEERING DISSERTATION,

JUNE 27^th, 9AM, Room I013

All students must be present at 8:50.

The order of the presentations will be decided by the examination board during the exam.

The students that have not already done so must turn in Monday morning the printed version of the dissertation, in bound form. This printed version should be identical to the electronic version uploaded on the UPB servers (both on Moodle and on studenti.pub.ro).

A report letter from the supervisor must be sent by the supervisor to the secretary of the examination board (email laurentiu.moraru@gmail.com)

Other formats for the report letter are accepted as well.

Students will only be permitted to take the exam if the dissertation is available both in printed (and bounded) and electronic version and the supervisor report letter was provided.

Students that qualify to take the dissertation must enroll online, using both the email address inginerie.aerospatiala@upb.ro and the site / during  https://studenti.pub.ro/ June14 – June18  2021.

Each student that qualify to take the exam must bring or send via email the following documents

• exam enrollment form: a request for taking the dissertation exam (filled, signed, scanned, sent via email)  EXAM ENROLMENT FORM (CERERE INSCRIERE)
• statement of originality of the dissertation  (filled, signed, scanned, sent via email)     STATEMENT OF ORIGINALITY (DECLARATIE DE ORIGINALITATE)
• copy of the identification document, in electronic form electronic, scanned
• Certificate of completing the Employment Questionnaire on the platform https://studenti.pub.ro/(according to the Rector Decision 259/26.4.18).
• Each terminal year student (graduate) finds in his/her account on the platform  https://studenti.pub.ro/ a button labeled Chestionar Angajabilitate which leads to the questionnaire form (see on the right, on green; see pictures at http://www.aero.pub.ro/wordpress/index.php/en/diploma-projects-exams/)
  After filling and saving the questionnaire, the platform automatically generates a Certificate of completing the Employment Questionnaire.
  The student should print this certificate and include it in the Enrollment File, alongside all other documents.

You should also upload the documents required in the section „Proiect de disertație”  de pe site-ul  https://studenti.pub.ro/. Some of them should also be emailed to inginerie.aerospatiala@upb.ro, as explained above. Some of these documents should be downloaded, filled, signed, scanned and uploaded again. It is safe to click save after each uploading, even if you have not filled all the data yet.

Your dissertation should be uploaded both on https://studenti.pub.ro/ and on Moodle at the class

The pdf file of the dissertation should not exceed 20MB, otherwise you should get an Error2 Message.

A printed version of your thesis should be brought to the office of the secretary of the school. The electronic version should be uploaded on Moodle and https://studenti.pub.ro/.

It is your responsibility to pay all your debts to the university, including accomodation, etc. The office of the secretary will also verify your financial status within this university

Additional Session February 2020

The finalized Dissertation in electronic format (both Word and PDF) must be submitted to the Secretary of the Dissertation Exam Board  by e-mail on 30 January 2020, 23:59 hours the latest, for February 2020 Session.

The finalized Dissertation must be submitted in electronic form to the supervisor, too.

The printed and bound form of the Dissertation must be submitted on 31 January 2020.

Registration for Dissertation Exam will be open between 3 and 7 February 2020 and the exam will take place on 17-21 February 2020.

Research

All master programs of the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering are scientific research programs. This means that on course of the 4 semesters, master students choose research subjects and works under the supervision of a professor assigned to them at the beginning of the semester by the Director of Department and do internship stages with various employers or in the labs of the faculty, for the documentation stage or experiments. The Research subject each semester are normally parts of the dissertation, thus a supervisor assigned in the beginning stays the same until the dissertation exam.

The research activity each semester ends with a written research report, on which the supervisor needs to decide. If the supervisor considers it sufficiently elaborated, he submits the report to a scientific board, which is in session in the last week of teaching each semester*. The students will take part in these sessions to defend their reports. The dates, times and venues for these sessions are announced. The board grades each master student for his or her scientific research acitvity.

Dissertation Exams Schedule July 2019

Registration for Dissertation Exam in the July 2019 Session will take place between 10 – 14 June 2019.

Starting with 2017, master graduates may apply directly to doctorate studies right from the dissertation exam. Fill the forms in Annexes 2, 3 and 5 of the Doctorate Admission Procedure and submit them to the President of the Board after the dissertation exam. The Admission Fee is cut by 50% in July session as compared to the September session.
