Courtesy of CEO pilot eng. George Rotaru (alumnus of the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering) we announce that Aeroclubul României looks to hire young aerospace engineers. Details (in Romanian) <here>.

Aeroclubul României is an important aviation organization, internationally recognized, both for the sport competitions results, and for the technical capability in aircraft maintenance. Last year, Aeroclubul României registered the best results in the Romanian aviation history, by ranking 3rd in world individual aerobatics and also 3rd in world team aerobatics (airplane, glider teams). The year 2018 in figures looks like this: 5,000 hours of flight, 70,000 km distance by gliders, 9,000 parachute jumps, 2,200 hours of flight with ultralight airplanes and 4,000 airplane hours. In 2019 the plan is to purchase 4 airplanes and to build two hangars, as well as the noble effort to revitalize IAR-823, an airplane designed by the faculty alumnus eng. Radu Manicatide in 1970 and manufactured at IAR Ghimbav – Brașov.
